Sinful People

Updated: Jul 16, 2020

Sometimes the spiritual changes we make can upset some of our previous friendships. Some of our old friends may be uncomfortable with us because they feel guilty about their own sin or they feel no guilty at all. Others may feel threatened by the changes we are making. If we find that friend or associate undermines our relationship with God we need to be careful of such a relationship. This does not mean we do not reach out unbelievers, it only means that we do not need become too close to people who will lead us away from God & the lives he calls us to live. Our primary relationships need to be with unselfish godly people who will support our spiritual growth.

Sin is enticing because it offers a quick route to prosperity & makes us feel like one of the crowd. But when we go along with others & refuse to listen to the truth, our own appetites become our masters, & we'll do anything to satisfy them. Sin, even when attractive, is deadly. We must learn to make choices, not on the basis of flashy appeal or short range pleasure but in view of the long range effects. Sometimes this means steering clear of people who want to entice us into activities that we know are wrong. We can't be friendly with sin & expect our lives to remain unaffected.

Going after ill gotten gain is one of Satan's surest traps. It begins when he plants the suggestion that we cant live without some possession or money. Then that desire fans its own fire to recognize any greedy desire before it destroys you. God will help you overcome it. When tempted, no one should say "God is tempting me." For God can't be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when by his own evil desire he is dragged away & enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it is full grown, gives birth to death.

It is easy to blame others & make excuses for evil thoughts & wrong actions. Excuses include the following: It is the other person's fault; I couldn't help it (this used to be my excuse); Everybody is doing it; It was just a mistake; Nobody is perfect (I know whose excuse is among people I know); The devil made me do it (as of me - no more); I was pressured into it; I did not know it was wrong; God is tempting me.

A person who makes excuses is trying to shift the blame form himself or herself to something or someone else. Accept the responsibility for your wrongs, confess them, & ask God for forgiveness.

Sin is doing your own things without any reference to God. Pride is origin of SIN & I know more than God. WORLD - FLESH - DEVIL. Only one penalty for sin is death - Spiritual death & the wage of sin is DEATH. Saved means free from eternal death which is Satanic Power & Hold of Sin

Past - Justification, which means our old sins are cleansed away till you become righteous. Spirit is clean

Present - Sanctification means making you like Jesus, like God. Your mind is clean.

Future - Glorification means your body is clean.

Spirit is agent of Creation & reveals God to us & prays for us. Lives in us & makes God known to us. Holy Spirit is drawing us to Jesus Christ. Spirit does miracles. God communicates man through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit produces our gifts & produces fruits of believer.
