Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith & this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. For it is only by his grace that we have been saved through faith, & this faith was not from you, but it is the gift of God, not a result of work so that no one may boast. (To be proud of yourself when you do something).

Matthew 5:34-35

But I tell you, do not swear at all; either by heaven for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King, and do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your yes be yes, & your no be no; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

C0lossians 2:16

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival or for not celebrating certain holy days, new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.

Galatians 3:19:24

What then, was the purpose of the Law? It was added because of transgressions until the seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put in effect through angels by a mediator. A mediator however does not represent just one party; but god is one.

Is the law therefore, opposed to the promises of God. Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could import life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised being given through faith in Jesus. Christ, might be given to those who believe. Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
